Week 10
Department: UPCR – Final Inspection
Company: Delphi TVS, Sriperumbudur
Day 66 (Monday)
Date: 23/02/2026
As a newly assigned manpower in the Final Inspection station, I learned the overall importance of Final Inspection activities. I understood that Final Inspection is the last quality checkpoint before the pump is dispatched to the customer. I observed how inspection standards help ensure that only quality-approved products reach the customer, thereby reducing complaints and improving customer satisfaction.
Day 67 (Tuesday)
Date: 24/02/2026
I improved my visual inspection skills by carefully observing pump components, labels, markings, and assembly conditions. I learned to identify minor defects and deviations that may affect product quality. This activity enhanced my attention to detail and inspection confidence.
Day 68 (Wednesday)
Date: 25/02/2026
I learned about the special inspection requirement for VECV BS6 pumps. A blue mark is applied on the label for this specific pump model after verification. This mark indicates that the angle position inspection has been completed and verified according to the required standard. I understood the importance of following customer-specific quality requirements during Final Inspection.
Day 69 (Thursday)
Date: 26/02/2026
I learned that the blue marking procedure was introduced based on a customer complaint received from VECV regarding angle position-related issues. The marking system helps ensure traceability and provides confirmation that the angle position has been checked correctly before dispatch. This activity helped me understand how customer feedback drives quality improvement actions.
Day 70 (Friday)
Date: 27/02/2026
I learned about the Quality Audit Sheet used in the Final Inspection area. The audit sheet is used to record inspection results, verify critical checkpoints, and ensure compliance with quality standards. It also helps maintain traceability, monitor inspection effectiveness, and support continuous improvement activities.
Day 71 (Saturday)
Date: 28/02/2026
I revised the Final Inspection process, customer-specific requirements, blue mark identification procedures, and Quality Audit Sheet documentation practices. This revision improved my understanding of quality control systems and strengthened my knowledge of inspection responsibilities.
Day 72 (Sunday)
Date: 01/03/2026
Week Off.
